Hit Reality Show "Insane Pools" Featuring Decor Direct!

Local company Decor Direct, headquartered in Sarasota, FL announced its unique slab dining tables, furniture and functional art appearance in the new television series "Insane Pools" on Animal Planet.
Decor Direct's salvaged slab furniture and functional art beautified the Snead Island bayfront property and pool built on the second episode of the network's new series, "Insane Pools: Off the Deep End". The second episode of the “Insane Pools” series premiered Friday, February 27th, 2015 at 9pm.
Decor Direct Team Leader, Celeste Gruenstein explained, "We're featuring different 'Insane Furniture' on each of the 6 episodes of Insane Pools. Since the homeowners on this build have backgrounds in construction and an intuitive affinity for wood, it was a natural fit to use Decor Direct's sustainable tree slab furniture. Rather than linear pieces, we chose reclaimed felled tree slabs in organic shapes with live edge finishes. These blend harmoniously with the natural elements of stone, marble and boulders that Lucas Lagoons used in the pool and bar area construction.”

Tai Chi Class and Fundraiser for
Habitat For Humanity

Our monthly Tai Chi classes began in October 2016 as a fundraising event for Habitat For Humanity Sarasota County. With the holidays right around the corner, we wanted to start giving back to the community while also promoting healthy and sustainable living. We invited different local Tai Chi instructors: Gina White Dove (mindbodyfitnessforyou.com and sarasotaymca.org), Christine Killeen (taichiflowing.com), and Bill Essex (sarasotakungfu.com). They all selflessly volunteered their time and skills by enlightening us with their knowledge of Tai Chi during our charity events.

Jewels on the Bay Designer Showhouse 2017
January-February 2017
The 22nd Annual Jewels on the Bay Designer Showhouse asked Decor Direct Wholesale Warehouse to showcase sustainable furniture and decor at an elegant Bayfront home in South Sarasota to benefit the Boys & Girls Clubs of Sarasota County. We furnished the home with some of our favorite reclaimed, industrial and live edge slab pieces that complemented the beautiful Bayfront scenery.
The ongoing success of these showhouses requires the support of many designers, committee members, and the funding from local business men and women who give generously to the Boys & Girls Clubs. Support from the local community, like our customers, is important for fundraising events. We look forward to participating again in the future!

Decor Direct Awarded Best Outdoor Design in 2017 by Sarasota Magazine!

Competing with interior design firms throughout Sarasota, Bradenton, Venice and around Southwest Florida, Decor Direct Wholesale Warehouse & lead designer Celeste Gruenstein walked away with the award for "Best Outdoor Space Of The Year" in 2017 for the team's bay front balcony at Fisherman's Bay in South Sarasota.
Sarasota Magazine's judges described the Decor Direct Team's design as “fun”, “creative”, and a “great use of sustainable materials.”
The key to the accolades was Decor Direct's use of sustainable materials—a bar height table handcrafted from a massive live edge slab of wood, a console table sculpted out of teak roots, and a dramatic (as well as privacy-creating) twisted vine wall sculpted onto an iron base.
Tai Chi Class and Fundraiser for Southeastern Guide Dogs

We wanted to continue to give back to the community while also keeping with our Tai Chi theme, but the direction of our fundraising changed to a new recipient, local charity organization, Southeastern Guide Dogs. We invited local Tai Chi instructors Mary Lou Lindsay (taoist.org) and Sifu Brian Williams (tcmac-sarasota.com). Whom selflessly volunteered their time and skills by enlightening us with their knowledge of Tai Chi during our charity events.
Southeastern Guide Dogs speaker, Karen Conkel, and ambassador dog, Levi, attended our event to help promote their charity (and Tai Chi!).
