DIRECT ANNOUNCES DONATION TO CIRCUS SARASOTA
Sarasota, Florida
— Decor Direct, an importer of handcrafted furniture and accessories
headquartered in Sarasota, Florida, is pleased to announce its charitable
gift donated to Circus Sarasota
in January 2005 for their Fourth Annual Silent Auction and Live Auction
benefit.
Founded in 1997 by Pedro Reis and Dolly Jacobs, Circus Sarasota is a not-for-profit performing arts educational
organization. "Circus Sarasota is committed to broadening the artistic contribution of circus, while raising the level and perception of the American Circus to that of the other fine arts."
This legacy is achieved by "providing programs at the highest level through education, human service and the performing arts."
This year’s benefit, to be held on Friday, January 21st, will feature
cocktails and dinner served "under the Big Top," silent and live
auctions, and a circus performance.
To help in Circus
Sarasota's goal, Decor Direct donated an original oil painting in a gilded
wood frame, titled "Floral Still Life" for the event's auction.
This painting is valued at $1127.00. Proceeds from the auctions will help
Circus Sarasota with educational programs and its mission of offering
"FUN for children of all ages."
In
addition to being a winner of the 2002 Young Business of the Year Award by
Sarasota Chamber of Commerce, Decor Direct has also received other
accolades, including the “Best of Show” award from the local American
Society of Interior Designers.
