DECOR DIRECT ANNOUNCES DONATION TO WOMEN’S
RESOURCE CENTER
Sarasota, Florida —
Decor Direct, an importer of handcrafted furniture and accessories
headquartered in Sarasota, Florida, is pleased to announce its charitable
gift donated to the Women’s Resource Center in June 2004 as part of the
center’s Silver Anniversary Remodeling Project.
The
Women’s Resource Center is Southwest Florida’s preeminent resource
agency dedicated to the needs of women. Their Mission Statement is, “Women
helping women to become emotionally and financially independent through
education, support, networking and referral services.”
To help celebrate the center’s 25th Anniversary – the
Silver Anniversary – Decor Direct donated a beautiful silver-leafed
mirror, measuring 80 x 44” and valued at $644.
The donated mirror
will be incorporated in the redesign of the reception area at the
Women’s Resource Center. Katrine Karley, Sarasota interior designer and
Feng Shui practitioner, is facilitating the new design of the reception
area.
Celeste Gruenstein,
Decor Direct’s Manager explains that the donation of a beautiful
handcrafted mirror to an organization such as the Women’s Resource
Center is “particularly symbolic since this organization strives to show
women their strength and potential, to facilitate self-discovery among
women whose resources might otherwise be limited. We are proud to
contribute to a fine organization such as this.”
In
addition to being a winner of the 2002 Young Business of the Year Award by
Sarasota Chamber of Commerce, Decor Direct has also received other
accolades, including the “Best of Show” award from the local American
Society of Interior Designers.
