DECOR DIRECT ANNOUNCES DONATIONS TO LEUKEMIA AND
LYMPHOMA SOCIETY

Decor Direct, Sarasota's Young Business of the
Year 2002, has announced its charitable donation to the Leukemia and
Lymphoma Society in support of Celeste Gruenstein's running of the “Gasparilla
Distance Classic”

Direct, an importer of handcrafted furniture and accessories headquartered
in Sarasota, Florida, is pleased to announce its support of Team Manager Celeste Gruenstein's "Race for a Cause" on behalf of The
Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
Celeste has embraced this cause because, "My sister, Diane, lost her battle with leukemia in 1993, so I'm competing in this event in her memory. I looked up to her as my older sister, and also as an inspirational person.
Having lived overseas for two decades, she had friends throughout the
world. She gave tirelessly to help promote education and spiritual development."
The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society is the world's largest voluntary health organization dedicated to funding blood cancer research, education, and patient services. The Society's mission: Cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease and myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families.
Celeste is being trained for the Gasparilla Distance Classic
Marathon by the Suncoast Chapter of Team In Training® (TNT),
the the world's largest endurance training program. The program provides training to run or walk a full or half marathon, participate in a triathlon or century (100 mile) bike ride. Participants raise funds for leukemia, lymphoma and myeloma research and patient services.
About 208,000 Americans have leukemia, and an estimated 35,000 new cases will be diagnosed this year. That's just leukemia cases, which only account for about 29% of all blood cancers. And every one of those patients deserve assistance in their battle and research into therapies.
Celeste says, "We need your support to cross the ultimate finish line - a cure!
